CILI’s premiere program, The Tenth Institute is dedicated to sourcing college students of color enrolled in 4-year institutions, teaching, and engaging them in career skills and competency development programming, along with internship experiences to create a pipeline of diverse high potential talent, ready for opportunities within companies throughout the New Orleans Region and Louisiana for mid to high wage careers in industries that transform and facilitate economic growth.
(Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, & Economics Majors Prefered But, Other Majors May Apply)

Employer: Metro New Orleans - based companies
Requirements
- Actively enrolled in a 4-Year Academic Institution
- Must be Rising Junior, anticipated graduation date of May 2023
- Must be Rising Senior, anticipated graduation date of May 2022
- A permanent resident of Louisiana; born in-state, graduated high school, not a transfer for school
- A student attending college outside Louisiana or New Orleans with the intention to return home after college are encouraged to apply
- Student of color; Black, Latin, Hispanic, Native American, Asian, Native American
- Commitment to the challenges on the Tenth Institute Leader Immersion Program
The Tenth Institute will begin in February 2022. Selected Students will be required to complete the Tenth Institute Leader Immersion curriculum. To prepare students for success in obtaining internships the program will have self-awareness and interview prep modules. The Tenth Institute curriculum will continue to prepare students for success at work through training on business software, teamwork, problem-solving, financial literacy, and business etiquette. To accomplish this the student applying to the Tenth Institute program is committing to the following to be successful:
- The Tenth Institute curriculum will require the completion of program assignments each month.
- The program will consist of in-person group and one on one (following COVID-19 protocols) sessions.
- Leader-led webinars and self-directed computer-based training.
- Some Internships are remote, hybrid, and in-person.
